Black women have "bad attitudes"
No. How about Black women have been shitted on society from the moment we are born? How about most Black women have been violated or victimized by a male in their lifetime (I think the stat is about 60% of Black girls are sexually assaulted by the time they are 18), causing a mistrust of Black men and a lot of hurt, pain, and anger that we are not able to express in our culture? How about Black women are meant to carry the brunt of societies ills and not complain about it? Not to mention that a lot of us are being socialized to uphold a stereotype based in White society’s view of the Black community. How about that? So instead of casting all Black women off as having a bad attitude, as a Black man, you should try to better connect with us. We are more than just “Black women”. We are your mothers, sisters, and daughters and you wouldn’t want men to think so negatively or so lowly of your mother or sister just based on the fact that she’s a Black woman, so why do that to me? What I have done as a Black woman to so personally offend you that you would not want to be date me just because I am a Black woman? Where does this self-hate and hate of your race come from?
Also, is it that I have a bad attitude, or is it that all of the things I have been through make me strong and that is something you cannot handle? Is this a man trip where you feel like you cannot run a Black woman so you just discard us?
There is nothing more beautiful on this Earth, in my clearly biased opinion, than a Black woman. We are the mothers of this Earth and we are what holds up the human race. Take the time to talk to us, get to know us, and don’t be scared of us because we are worth it.
