It makes me mad that I have to headcanon Hawke calling everyone out for being assholes. I wish there was an option in-game to pull people aside and say, “Hey, you’re kind of being a dick. I need you to think about what you’re doing, and stop it.”

I feel like there’s potential for it. Like in Origins, how you could go to Sten and ask him about what he said in a banter with someone else. Why can’t I pull Anders aside and ask him in what world is it okay to call a former slave a dog? Or tell Fenris that calling someone a monster right after their friend died is kind of fucked up? Or make Aveline realize that words carry a lot of weight, and the ones she throws at Isabela are gross and heavy?

Everyone is so hostile toward each other in that game (the main exception being Merrill), and it frustrates me that I can’t do anything about it. I want to help my friends grow into better people. Even if the only thing I can do is make them put more consideration into the things they say, it will have been worth it.
