things I've learned the hard way.
  1. all minimum wage jobs suck. - it doesn’t matter what it is. retail, resturants, a bar, serving, hosting, cashier — ALL of it. they all have their pros and cons, and until I’m an established nurse in a hospital, it’s going to suck. keep your shitty job. it’s money.
  2. LOVE THE ONE YOU’RE WITH. having a sweet boy who makes you grilled cheeses and holds you when you cry over previously mentioned sucky minimum wage job — is worth more than being single && ready 2 mingle. having the comfort of knowing someone loves you for everything you are and everything you’re not makes me far happier than some overly romanticized masochistic twilight bullshit, or the “super hot guy looking at me at the bar/at work/at school” (especially when your guy is pretty damn hot too ….plus covered in tattoos/talented/nerdy/funny all wrapped into one)
  3. money isn’t everything. so what, you get paid $200 a week and you don’t have a billion dollars to spend at pacsun and urban outfitters, and you can only get your nails done once a month, and you have to be careful with it. also, using cash saves money. put the debit card away.
  4. READ MORE. reading is like an escape from the your shitty reality and helps you calm the fuck down.
  5. be yourself. so, you have a potty mouth? who cares. sooo you love cheap $4 gas station wine and cigarettes. you think your puppy is too cute to yell at. you spill EVERYTHING. you usually don’t take your own advice. you have a crazy redheaded temper. taylor swift is your she-god. you’re always the source of everyone’s jokes because you take it like a champ — embrace it.
  6. It’s never too late to start over when it comes to your career/future career. do what excites you.
the end
