Why do people say to “Be Yourself” if I’m going to get yelled at or even typed at by stupid people, or as I call them, Tumblr Idiots, that think that people like me are “the problem”. Is “Be Yourself” even a term that people take to heart anymore? I, a white, cis, pretty much strait (i haven’t really ‘found myself’ yet) female justs want to be able to log onto this site or even walk into a place without getting insulted for being who I am. Maybe I should become a transgender man just so people will like me. Maybe I should become a lesbian just so people will like. Maybe I should get surgery to become colored (do they have that?) just so people will like me.
"But you’re female! You don"t have anything to worry about, except for those nasty white men!" Well, I’m speaking on the behalf of the strait, white, cis men too. Not all of them are as nasty and crude as these Tumblr idiots are saying they are. I repeat: NOT ALL OF THEM ARE LIKE THAT. Anyone can be nasty and crude.
I support equality, anyone should be able to marry anyone they want, abortion should be legal, etc. But people at school and on here still continue to be horrible to people like me, especially men. Anyone who is one of the Tumblr idiots that I described earlier, I have some questions for you: If you want equality for all, why do you single out people for being who they are? If they want to help they should be allowed to, right? A lot of you people are white, cis, and strait, so why are you yelling at people who are just like you? (At least the one’s at school are this hypocritical)
So in conclusion, If you’re going to say something like “Be Yourself”, just make sure you mean it. That is all.
