It’s like going to the doctor. It’s like going to the doctor for a check-up, and most of the time the patients are fine. Maybe high blood-pressure or something. But you go to your check-up, and it turns out you’ve got cancer. You ask, ‘Okay, what treatment am I gonna get?’ and the doctor says, ‘I don’t know. Handle it,’ like you can just make it go away if you work hard enough, like it’s not their goddamn job to help you with it. And if you can’t, ‘Well, too bad, you’re screwed. There’s nothing I can do. You should have tried harder.’
