What To Do With The Time That Is Given To Us - Harmony Draft
Hermione gazed at Harry in awe as he turned his thoughts into words. “You can’t come with me, it’s too dangerous. I have to search for the horcruxes alone.”
Ron slightly opened his mouth, only stopping short as he watches Hermione grab Harry’s forearm. Harry, startled, looks down at his sleeve, wondering what would be outcome of the search, as well as his and the lives of the people he knew. “Oh, Harry, don’t you get it? We’re in this together, as we will always be.” Harry, feeling overwhelmed by the entire situation, doesn’t hear all of what Hermione said, continuously muttering the word “always”.
“C’mon, mate, ya know she’s right. You’ll never make it without us.” admited Ron, as he grabbed Harry’s shoulder. Harry begrudgingly gazes Hermione and Ron into their eyes, wishing to himself the same strength and resolve that his two friends seem to share.
“Thanks, guys. I guess I needed that.” admited Harry, reluctantly. “Oh, Harry, of course you did. You’re my…” Hermione, realizing what was about to say, falls silent, as Ron looks at her suspiciously. “We’re your best friends, Harry. And we will always be.” Harry, with his tendency to be mournfully obsessive, keeps muttering the same word.
Ron admires Hermione’s rationality as also the ability to calm Harry down, which has been constant since they met.
“Lets go, Harry.” Ron, standing by his left, raises his arm over Harry’s shoulder. Harry, with a wide smile on his face, does the same, as Hermione starts to fall behind.
The always concerned Hermione reluctantly turns to Harry, with her arm around his waist. “Are we really doing this? We can still turn back and spend the rest of our days away from all the death and pain Voldemort has caused. We still have time.”
Harry, still admired that, after all the years they have known each other, Hermione has always in mind the well-being of those close to her. “We will always have time, Hermione. We’re always together, no matter what happens. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
Smilling, as her cheeks flush a tad reddish, Hermione looks into Harry’s eyes and wonders when did he start to mature. Harry looks at both his friends. “Ready?” They just nod, as Harry turns to Hermione, grabbing her hand firmly, in a tender way, which felt like an attempt to comfort one of his best friends.
He felt relief knowing that there still were left a few days of happiness in their company.
